Image is an aerial view of RAF Fylingdales under construction on 21 January 1963 covered in snow, during the famous snow storm of 1962-63 which involved staff at RAF Fylingdales being air lifted from the base as access to the site was completely cut off by snow drifts.
The photo has a handwritten annotation: “Complete isolation of technical area except by air 1962-63 winter.”
